Kellan Simpson, PE, LEED AP BD&C
Kellan is the principal engineer and founder of Sanitas. Kellan is focused on delivering high performing buildings and is committed to demonstrating results with real data.
Kellan’s diverse range of experience includes work as an owner, engineer, and as a contractor. His career started on the owner’s side for the facilities team at a university in Colorado where he re-commissioned low performing buildings. After working on the owner’s side, Kellan moved to a global design consulting firm. His experience there included energy modeling, mechanical design, controls design, and commissioning. Kellan then moved to a systems integration firm where he focused on analytics deployment, and project management for integration projects.
Outside of the commercial space he is passionate about all thing’s sustainability. Ask him about electrifying and decarbonizing his home in Maine, urban design, or his hatred of leaf-blowers.
